Reiki As Your Path to the Ancient Mystery Schools
We know that Reiki is a spiritual healing practice that is effective on the physical, emotional and spiritual planes. There is a magic in it that transcends dogma, religion and institutions. It can help you to achieve a direct connection with Source. With the right approach it can be about healing your inner child, all of your pasts, your present and achieving personal transformation so that you can live more fully going forward.
There are now many variations on traditional Reiki practice, techniques and symbols and each of us are each drawn to the right teacher and style at the right time. And that can change over time as we change and you may find yourself with a new teacher and approach. The important thing is that you get the right thing at the right time. With that in mind my approach is rather traditional however during a session I may also intuitively receive information or questions to help you go deeper. The best metaphor I have found to describe my practice is the phenomenon of the ancient Mystery Schools where initiates pursue a personal journey of surrender to self-inquiry that results in the unveiling of their deepest truth, developing and enhancing their spirituality, feeling grounded and free of the restraints of the past. This is the path of the Spiritual Warrior.
The ancient Greeks and Egyptians considered the Mystery Schools to be the highest spiritual practice to achieving their ultimate transformation. Through their practices they developed a oneness with the source of life and gained the ability to live better lives, and be the highest version of themselves in the world. This is the foundation of my philosophy and approach to Reiki.
By using Reiki as the vehicle on this path you can experience an intense process of self exploration and healing that amplifies your human experience, from your darkest shadows to your highest gifts and your ability to be One with everything in existence. It is, beyond anything else, a journey to the Self; a grueling yet profound and transformative process in which you are are guided and supported.

About John
I've been a Reiki therapist, teacher and spiritual mentor/coach for over 25 years. I'm also a practicing Kriya Yogi (a kundalini/tantra practice), yoga and meditation teacher (Babaji's Kriya Yoga). The combination of these two paths has literally transformed my life and I am honoured to be part of people's healing on the physical, emotional and spiritual levels. One of the most profound experiences I've had of these combined paths was conducting a Reiki initiation in the cave where Satya Sai Baba attained his enlightenment. This was deep in the jungle and beside the Ganges River and the adjoining ashram.
Many people are curious about my background so I provide it here, not to make a point of any sort but only because clients and students seem to need it for their own confirmation of whom they are studying or healing with. I have had a very full career in communications that encompasses the corporate world (up to and including vice president), being a highly decorated military officer, a guy who worked his way through university by loading transport trucks, and someone who has run his own consulting business. I have a BA in Psychology and an MA in crisis management and communicating with populations at risk. I have spent a considerable part of my career coaching and mentoring people along with counselling.
All of that to say that because of my diverse background I readily relate to people from all walks of life and all income levels.
